  the wtbats like to state "we never stated when the end will come" when they blatantly have:.

  1969 "if you are a young person, you also need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this present system of things.

  One of the books released at the "Divine Victory" International Assemblies was "True Peace and Security - How can you find it?"

  Are you not aware of - or have you forgotten about - the organisational changes that occurred in the early 1970s?

  The elder arrangement only came in from September 1st 1972 onwards, and the Governing Body was formed after that:

  -this was six years after the release of Life Everlasting in Freedom of the Sons of God and the beginning of the 1975 debacle.

  1975 was the dream-child of Crazy Fred Franz - nothing more, nothing less!

  JWs took off from work in 1975?

  a friend of mine is an electrician supervisor.

  back in 1975, one of his employees was a jw.

  the jw was so convinced that 1975 would bring the end of the world, that the jw took off from work (like, the first week in january) and sat on the top of a north carolina mountain waiting for armegheddon.

  Dubs did really crazy things in that year.

  That they did. In fact, my overpowering memories of those years 1972 - 1975 are of mad people and mad times.

  Our congregation was then deemed to be in an area "where the need is great." As a consequence, we had so many families arrive from elsewhere:

  - ones who had sold their homes and invested everything in a large caravan, there to live for the "few remaining months of this system."

  The novelty seemed to wear off rather quickly, though - particularly when the local council's health inspector discovered some of these families living in rather insanitary conditions, and ordered them to be evicted. (Things wouldn't have been too comfortable, either, once the southern winter set in!)

  As for people going crazy with their credit card etc. :

  - to be honest, I never knew of one single instance of that happening.

  Selling ones home and going pioneering for the "few remaining months of this system" was certainly typical, though.

  wolford and betty john,nice loveing couple,always loved children.. arther and tinnie roderson, nice couple he passed away some years ago too young from cancer.. wiakato and hine gray couldn't ask for better people.. jack teesie ..single guy would never go to a single sisters place for dinner even if she had children apperantly a bad look.. joe sleighman and wife nice couple were d.o's leaft and joined our side.. sandy pannell and wife...he reminded me of bill clinton always love to look down from the stage and wave his left finger at the congro....never liked him.. han's hubler,nuff said has been a few threads started about him.. there is many more.. karter..
